The EconoLodge Hotel in Forestville


Over the years, all our rooms have been carefully renovated to meet the expectations of our customers. We have also redesigned our conference hall to increase its efficiency and versatility.


Our history

The Danube, a central European river, was crossed by Jos Marino for the first time in 1943. A few years later, in 1956, Le Danube bleu is the name given to its 28-seat restaurant, lounge bar and 12 rooms in Forestville.


The family-run hotel complex quickly became a well-known landmark of our city. In 2006, the restaurant-pub Le Chianti was added to complete the restaurant's offer; a cozy restaurant-pub with a varied menu that will impress you and the ideal place to have fun with family or friends.

In 1989 and 1991, Renato and Anna, two of Jos' three children, joined the company and took over a few years later. In 2003, an accommodation partnership was entered into with the global Choice Hotels franchise and became EconoLodge Forestville. Since then, several major renovations have been carried out successively.


Some 60 years after its opening, the constantly renovated hotel complex now has 55 3-star rooms, a restaurant with 150 seats, a restaurant pub and a conference hall that can accommodate 225 people.

Jos was an endearing and hard-working character who offered unparalleled service during all these years. The tradition continues after several million customers served.
